2008 Reichsrat von Buhl Forster Ungeheuer Grosses Gewächs 92
This is very well defined on the nose with touches of chalk dust and dried lemon peel. Good lift. The palate has a vibrant, citrus entry, superb acidity and great nervosité on the citrus finish. Great length and precision. Excellent. Tasted August 2009

2008 Reichsrat von Buhl Forster Jesuitgarten Grosses Gewächs 93
Taciturn on the nose, then subtle touches of flint, citrus lemon, dried apricot and white peach. Very fine definition. The palate is beautifully balanced, very subtle with excellent acidity, more linear and less a fantail of flavours compared to Burklin-Wolf. But fine clarity and precision on the finish. Superb. Tasted August 2009.

Very well defined on the stony, minerally nose – Alpine streams and a touch of pine. The palate has a sharp, citrus entry with touches of tangerine and orange peel. Lacking a little weight and persistency just on the finish. Good. Tasted August 2009.

Like the Bassermann-Jordan, this is quite reserved on the nose, but very good definition with touches of morning dew and lime. The palate is taut, well-defined with sour lemon, apricot and granite, very dry on the finish, superb focus and length. Excellent. Tasted August 2009.

The nose demands coaxing, but it reluctantly reveals dried lemon, orange zest, flint, nectarine and a scintilla of white peach. The palate is well balanced with a citrus entry, vibrant lime, lemon and nectarine towards the pert, focused, minerally finish. Superb. Tasted August 2009.

2008 Reichsrat von Buhl Ruppertsberg Reiterpfad Grosses Gewächs 90
This has a lovely nose of lime leaf, pear, apricot and a touch of beeswax. Great lift and definition with subtle aromas of acacia emerging with time. Lively, animated on the entry with vibrant acidity
complemented by white peach and apricot notes lacing the zesty, taut finish. Great length. Good weight here. Excellent. Tasted August 2009.
